BASEBALL EMULATOR

The BASEBALL EMULATOR was the first sport specific and movement specific weight resistance strength trainer, that is designed to strength train movement specific muscles used for hitting and throwing. The primary function for the first Batting Emulator was to make the batter stronger. It accomplished that easily. How it has evolved in the last 25 year's has taken the Baseball training technology to a level of performance that was once thought to be impossible to achieve.

These are the gains that you should expect from using the Baseball Emulator for hitting and throwing for 5 months!

Another 20% of hitting distance over your best previous performance!

Another 5-10% of throwing speed over your best previous performance!

Here is the link to a interview with Sammy Sosa and Todd Hundley talking about how the Batting Emulator helped their swing and their stats.

1. INSTANT POWER FOR MOVEMENT SPECIFIC MUSCLES

The Baseball Emulator was designed to build additional strength in the exact muscles used to hit and throw a baseball. This means that you are training the SAME muscles used to hit and throw the ball and you are NOT wasting time and effort on training extra muscles that are not used for this. This machine is an incredible training and workout tool and it is designed to FORCE the batter to use the strongest possible group of muscles, to swing the bat and throw the ball, with effortless power. This will increase your bat speed, quickness and power and it only takes 60 seconds to feel the difference. This instant change is not because you are making any muscles bigger. This instant change comes from the machine forcing the brain to send a higher level of electrical impulses to the movement specific swing muscles. When these electrical impulse rates increase, it makes the muscles that you are using, contract harder. When you increase your power level, you will have other additional options that were not available before using this trainer.

2. STRENGTHENS THE SMALL MUSCLES AND GIVES MORE CONTROL OF THE BAT

About 40 % of the muscles you use to hit the ball are small. Conventional gym equipment is designed to work on large muscle groops only. The Batting Emulator works out these small muscles in the correct sequence at the same time it works out the big muscles. The result is that giving these small muscles equal strength allows the batter to have more control of where you want to swing the bat. Strengthening these small muscles also allows you to more easily make adjustments in your swing, while you are swinging which ultimately allows you to find the sweet spot on the bat more easily.

3. SEE THE PITCH LONGER BEFORE STARTING YOUR SWING

Because of this additional power and quickness, this will automatically allow you more time to see the ball before starting your swing. We are only talking about 1/2 of a tenth of a second. For a ball that is traveling at 90 mph, you are going to be able to wait for the ball to travel another 6 feet closer to you, before you have to start your swing. In hitting terms, this is an eternity. Being able to see that pitch longer, allows you more time to see how fast the pitch is moving, and how much it is breaking.

4. SLOWING DOWN THE SWING SPEED, WITHOUT LOSING ANY POWER

Some players already have all the power they need. If you gain even more power from using the Baseball Emulator, you will be able to slow down your bat speed and not lose any power. The reason to do this is to be able to control the bat more easily and hit the ball on the sweet spot of the bat more often. The harder you swing, the more difficult it is to hit the ball accurately on the sweet spot. When you slow the swing speed down, you increase your ability to hit that sweet spot more often. For every 1/4 of an inch that you miss that sweet spot, you are losing distance. This same issue is the same as hitting a golf ball on the sweet spot. Hitting the ball on the sweet spot more often, will increase your batting average, your on base percentage, your hits, your home runs and total bases. Using The Baseball Emulator allows you to do all of this without sacrificing any of your power.

5. FORCES YOU TO USE CORRECT MECHANICS AND SEQUENCING

One of the reasons this trainer is so effective at the above things is because the it is designed to force the player to fire the correct muscles at the correct time. This creates the proper sequence of swing mechanics. If a player is using his hands and arms as a power source, he is losing power. This trainer forces you to use you core muscles first to start the swing. If you do not do this first, you can feel a distinct loss of power when you are on the Emulator. You can not talk this FEEL into a player. Using this neuromuscular trainer forces you to FEEL it. It is not possible to use this trainer without FEELING if you are using the correct muscles at the correct time or not.

Some ball players, need to FEEL what it is like to do this wrong with resistance first. This means they start the swing with the hands and arms first. After they have felt how difficult this is, then they can start the swing off using the core muscles first, and they will be able to instantly FEEL the difference in the two muscle firing sequences. When you can FEEL it, this is easier to learn and understand.

6. LEARNING TO SWITCH HIT EASILY THROUGH MOTOR MEMORY TRAINING

For a high school or a college player to be able to switch hit, makes them a more desired prospect. The Baseball Emulator makes it easier to teach a hitter to switch hit. Many ballplayers do not attempt this because they do not feel that they have the same power or mechanics, hitting from the other side. Training on this machine can fix that problem. This is not just a strengthening device. This is also a motor memory trainer.

When you have to fire your swing muscles in a specific order that you have not been using, you do not want to have to think about these swing mechanics when you are batting. This trainer turns the motor memory learning switch on when you are using it. Exactly why it is coming on is a trade secret. The fact is that using this trainer will get your brain to turn on the learning switch whether it is for learning swing mechanics or learning to switch hit.

If you are already a switch hitter, chances are that one side is stronger than the other. The Baseball Emulator can balance your power out from both sides. This makes a huge difference in how a player is pitched to and how a game is managed.

7. HELPS A PLAYER TO LEARN TO HIT TO THE OPPOSITE FIELD

Training on this machine will give the player more control of his bat. One of the things that he will be able to do is learn to hit to the opposite field. Not only will he be able to hit to the opposite field, he will be able to do it with power. If you are a pull hitter, a pitcher may constantly be pitching away from you. The infield may even play a shift to get you out. If you learn to hit to the opposite field, especially with power, they are not going to be able to get you out as easily. They will also not be able to play a shift on you effectively. Having this kind of talent changes how the opposing team has to play you and gives you an advantage.

8. ADJUSTABILITY

The Baseball Emulator will adjust to each batter’s desired plane angle, arm length and height. Once you have adjusted for your desired swing plane, the Emulator will keep you on this swing plane. If a batter is having a hard time hitting a particular pitch, whether it’s at the knees or above the belt, the Baseball Emulator will allow them adjust the swing plane, to work on a specific pitch. This machine will not allow the batter to uppercut on a pitch.

9. THE FOREARM WORK OUT

The Baseball Emulator will also allow the batter to isolate the exact muscles in the forearms and hands and work out these muscles independently. These are the last muscles to fire before ball contact. These muscles are not the same in each arm. The Emulator strengthens the exact muscles in the wrists and forearms of both arms.

10. TRANSITIONAL STRENGTH

As a result of all of these batting specific muscles working in the correct swing sequence, this establishes transitional strength that cannot be obtained from conventional weight training. Free weight workouts, only work one muscle group at a time. It is not advised to substitute one for the other. Free weight workouts are still needed, but they have a different function. Transitional strength is strength that is obtained when the main force of resistance is transferred from one muscle to the next muscle while you are swinging the bat. As this sequential firing of muscles happens, the muscles are overlapping each other in their use and several muscles are fired at the same time, but at different proportions.

11. INJURY PREVENTION AND ENDURANCE

When you use twenty times as many muscles to move a resistance device, each muscle is taking on a much smaller amount of the load. And because you use so many more muscles to train on the Baseball Emulator, each muscle has a much smaller chance of getting injured. A complete workout on the Emulator only takes about 9 minutes and this includes using it right and left handed. This workout is also going to give the batter more endurance when hitting. This allows the batter to foul off ten pitches and not lose any swing speed or velocity.

When you put all these things together, it is easy to see how the Baseball Emulator will make the player a more valuable prospect to a college or to a pro team.
